It’s nearly that time of the year again where RSVP gets ready for the biggest charity event in the calendar: World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan cancer support.

The 30th of September will see an array of cakes, biscuits, doughnuts, and other various treats for the staff to enjoy, in return for donating to such a wonderful charity.

In the past years we have had a wonderfully successful day - raising over £2000 for the charity in one day alone! Here’s hoping to be just as successful this year!

We are currently recruiting people in the office, and giving them plenty of notice, to donate their time and efforts to baking as many treats as possible, in the hope we will have a ridiculous amount of goodies for people to buy.

Macmillan’s ambition –

‘There are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer. By 2030, it will be 4 million people, and we want to be there for them all.One in three of us will get cancer, and it will be one of the toughest things we’ll ever have to face. Our goal is to make sure no one faces cancer alone. We provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care. And because cancer affects more than just those facing it, we’re there for friends and family too. We are Macmillan.’

I will report back after the bake sale with lots of pictures and hopefully with news of a large amount of money raised!!
