This weekend was an absolute screamer for all of you sports fans!

Wimbledon

So first of all, on Saturday we saw Serena Williams winning her 22nd Grand Slam title - winning the finals of Wimbledon against Angelique Kerber.

To top this off, we then watched in awe as our very own Andy Murray won the Wimbledon title once again against Milos Raonic!Tennis 1

Speaking to our agents, it seems nearly everyone followed and celebrated these epic games, even if it was sat at home on the sofa!

Euro Finals.

Also on Sunday, were the finals of the Euro Championships – Portugal vs. France.

The long awaited game was 0-0 at full time and had to go extra time to ultimately decide the winner. To add to the drama, Cristiano Ronaldo was carried off on a stretcher in the 25th minute due to a bad knee injury and the world watched on as he cried in frustration.

Here at RSVP we had a sweepstake at the beginning of the competition, where agents put money in and drew out a team at random – well we can now announce that it was, Jake, from 7th floor who has won!! He has won £33 I believe, and beat James on 6th floor who unfortunately had France!

Jake was one of the people who stayed in this weekend and had a lovely time watching the football whilst catching up with his Mum. In contrast, our agent Liz on 6th floor went to the Magic Roundabout on Old Street and watched the football there with beers and burgers galore!

Grand Prix

And also included in this weekend of brilliant sporting events, the British Grand Prix was held at Silverstone on Sunday, where once again, our British boy Lewis Hamilton won for his fourth time!

In this dramatic race, he led every single lap and it seemed that he was not going to let anyone steal this championship away from him. Good lad!

Two of our Directors enjoyed the action up close and said it was an excellent day!

This weekend was absolutely epic in the world of sports – whether you sat watching the tennis with a glass of Pimms, or sat in on the sofa watching the football or Grand Prix (or if you are a musical theatre bean instead, watched Les Miserables on Channel 4 on Sunday) – I hope you had a great one!
