Here at RSVP we do everything we can to help our staff move in the right direction. Our staff members are trained actors and we want to make sure they never forget that! RSVP Artists, our in-house, commission-free, artists’ agency is one of our best success stories in helping our staff achieve their creative career goals.

Last week we had our second visit from John Byrne, the Career Advisor from The Stage who came to speak to RSVP Artists’ clients in his fantastic workshop ‘The Actor’s Business Plan’. The acting industry is a tough one to navigate. Even with great successes quiet times happen, which is what RSVP is for, but with so much competition out there, at times in can be hard to stay motivated. John gave our staff some wonderful advice in staying career focused and developing a progression plan to help them achieve their goals and dreams, forging their mark on the industry.

RSVP Artists is one of our proudest achievements here and the difference it makes to our staff is a wonderful thing to see.

We have been getting clients seen for some fantastic projects, including most recently things such as the sequel to the feature film Maleficent, Guns Akimbo (starring Daniel Radcliffe or Harry Potter fame) and a table read with the Channel 4 writer who created iconic shows such as Shameless, Teachers and Fresh Meat. This month alone has seen auditions and castings for 7 different theatre projects, 8 films, 13 commercials, 1 cruise, 2 video games and 1 television sit-com, amongst other projects as well!

Next week, Head Agent Charlie Platt and her assistant Laura McKenna will be trotting off to our Manchester Office, to check-in and work their magic with their Northern-based clients. While they are primarily based in our London HQ, they always make sure to pop up to our other branch in Media City as often as they can.

Have a great time ladies!
