Let’s face it; none of us want to be in the office over the Christmas period. There’s far too much to think about, time seems to speed up (when are you going to get a chance to do your Christmas shopping?) and everyone is full of flu. We’ve come up with a few simple and inexpensive ways to keep your staff motivated during the holiday season.
1. BUY CHRISTMAS PRESENTS SO YOUR STAFF DON’T HAVE TO
Buy gifts for your staff – theatre tickets, dinner coupons, family activity days out, electronic devices – and use these as incentives for your staff to win. If they hit their targets, they get their name put in a hat and are in with a chance of winning. As we seem to be pressed for time as well as gift ideas more and more each year, your staff will appreciate their Christmas shopping being done so they don’t have to.
2. DO DAILY HOT DRINK RUNS
Nothing wakes us up in the morning whilst making us feel all Christmassy like a pumpkin spiced latte. Nominate someone (or do it yourself!) to make a note of hot drinks for your staff and run out to collect them in the morning.
3. MAKE YOUR OFFICE A GROTTO
Well, maybe not quite a grotto. But you can still give your office a lovely Christmassy feel by putting up a Christmas tree and decorating it, wrap old cardboard boxes in wrapping paper to look like gifts and even get your staff involved by making DIY snowflake decorations to put up around the office.
Doing the above will help your staff stay motivated throughout the Christmas period, as well as keeping up the excitement of the season! Give it a go!
